Below are some of the questions I am asked most often. If your question is not answered here, feel free to contact me about your question.

What should I wear for my engagement shoot?

The most important thing to remember when picking out clothes for your shoot is that you should pick clothing that you will be comfortable in. If what you are wearing makes you uncomfortable, that discomfort will show up in your photos. Try not to wear any tiny patterns (such as small stripes), as the camera lens is not as good at capturing these patterns as our eyes are, and they could distort the picture.

My goal is to make your photos timeless. You can help me to achieve this by not wearing clothing with any large logos or pictures.

How many photos will I receive?

The number of images for a wedding varies greatly depending on multiple factors. You can expect about 75 photos per hour of coverage time.

For portrait and engagement sessions, you will see 25-35 edited proofs. For these sessions, all products (including digital files) are sold separately.

How long will it take to get my photos?

Typical turnaround time for engagement sessions is 2-3 weeks. For a wedding, expect to receive your photos in 6-8 weeks.

Will you edit out my mole/birthmark/tattoo?

Amanda Mejias Photography believes that these things are part of what makes you, you. Other than removing minor blemishes, I will do my best to make sure that you look like you in your photographs. That means minimal editing.

What happens after I hit "send" on your contact form?

I will get an email that lets me know that someone has contacted me. I will email you back within 24 hours to set up a free consultation. Consultations are very important because they help me to get to know my clients a little bit before they're in front of my camera. People tend to be more comfortable in front of a camera if they know the person holding it :). For wedding clients, the consultation will help both you and I to know if Amanda Mejias Photography is the perfect fit for your dream wedding. We generally discuss things such as venue, must-have shots, and how many hours of coverage are needed. If, at the end of the consultation, we find we are a good match, a contract is signed, and your wedding day or portrait session is booked!

What is required to book my wedding?

Amanda Mejias Photography requires a signed contract and a $750 deposit to book your wedding date. Until these two things are received, the date is open to be booked by another couple.
