Luxmore Grande Estate Wedding Inspiration

Ahhhhh! I have been DYING to share this shoot with you all for SO SO LONG! And today I finally can because we have been featured on Every Last Detail!

Seriously, you have to check out the gorgeousness that is this wedding inspiration shoot. Luxmore Grande Estate was the perfect backdrop to my vision. Classic, elegant, timeless, and just plain pretty!

And don’t even get me started on those florals from Flowers By Lesley! She did a stunning job. Really, everyone involved did. The invitation suite, the hair and makeup, and the cake were all just what I had imagined. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Howey Mansion - Venue Spotlight - Howey In The Hills, Florida

Miguel and I had the pleasure of walking through the stunning Howey Mansion today. This mansion just opened for weddings earlier this year, and it's not hard to see why. I mean, look at how beautiful this place is!

This grand staircase greets you as you walk through the door, and what a lovely greeting it is.

The Dining Room

The Library

The library has a pretty cool secret: a hidden lock to open a prohibition era cellar. How cool is that!? Couples can choose to rent out the hidden cellar as a speakeasy for their wedding. That's pretty much the most awesome thing I've ever heard.

The Ballroom

The Ballroom is a beautiful spot for your reception. Having a large wedding? No worries, the outside courtyard seats well over 200 guests!

There are so many beautiful spots all over the property for photos! The Howey Mansion is truly a photographer's dream.

When you rent The Howey Mansion for your wedding, your rental will include bride and groom suites for getting ready. The groom suite is below.

The Bridal Suite

There are so many gorgeous details all around the mansion. Check out that coffee table! I seriously wanted to take it home with me. 

Both the bride and groom suites have their own private terraces. 

We are so very happy that someone rescued The Howey Mansion and restored it to its former glory. We look forward to being able to share in a couple's happy ever after at this gorgeous new venue!

Bok Tower Gardens Wedding - Katie & Cory

His voice wavered slightly. Tears started to form in his eyes. Everyone in the church was silent as they listened to him speak. His little girl was getting married, and the time had come to give her away. As he spoke about the traditional pinning of the tartan and what that meant to their family, no one made a sound. A single tear fell. The emotion in the room was palpable. Katie and Cory were surrounded by those they love most, and everything was perfect. 

When Katie first reached out to us to photograph her wedding, we were beyond thrilled! Katie is a dear friend of ours from college, and we were so happy to hear she had found the man of her dreams. There are so many things we adored about this wedding day. It was laced with tradition and sentimentality. Katie wore her mother's wedding gown and her grandmother's ring. Cory was gifted a traditional Celtic tartan. The bride and groom cut the cake with a sword! If every wedding we get to photograph is as full of love as this one was, we will be very happy indeed.

Katie and Cory, thank you so very much for trusting us to photograph your wedding day. From the moment I met Cory, I knew Katie had found her perfect match. The joy emanating from you two, first at your engagement session, and then on your wedding day, was infectious. We wish you many years of continued joy and happiness, and we hope our pictures can serve as a testament to your love.

Husband & Wife Wedding Photography Team: What This Means for Flora Bloom Photography

So now that we've announced that Flora Bloom Photography will be a husband and wife team, you might be wondering what this means for our clients. 

A Dedicated Second Shooter for EVERY Wedding

First, Amanda and Miguel will photograph every wedding together. This means that our clients will not have to pay extra for a second shooter to be included. I call that a win! The fact that each and every wedding will have the same two people photographing it means that our clients can look forward to more consistency as well. Also, as Miguel learns and grows, he will no longer be a second shooter. Our clients will actually have two lead shooters!

Miguel is Learning Video!

Another SUPER exciting aspect of bringing Miguel on board is that we hope to be able to offer videography services to our clients in the coming months. We are incredibly thrilled about this! Soon, Flora Bloom Photography may become Flora Bloom Photo + Video. We can't wait!

Amanda Will Begin Shooting Film

Since I can count on Miguel to get the shots digitally, I have been able to branch out into film photography a bit more. I absolutely LOVE the look of film for wedding photography, and having Miguel there has allowed me to pursue this new medium. I'm so happy to be able to offer film for all of our clients now! Here are a few of my favorite film shots of recent clients.

Sometime in the next week or so, Miguel and I will tell you all about our new equipment. We just made the switch from Canon to Sony Mirrorless, and we are loving it! I also got a brand new (to me) medium format film camera that I have fallen head over heels in love with. I mean, look at that first image above. SO GORGEOUS!!!
